Edit customer payment limits

You can view and/or edit certain customer payment limits within the Bill Pay Payment Admin Portal.  

Edit payment limits for two user types

You can edit payment limits for:

  • An individual user - these are limits used when a particular user is creating a payment.
  • The customer - these are limits used by recurring schedules when creating a recurring payment.

Editing Limits

To edit limits for either a user or a customer:

  1. Search for the user within the User Maintenance feature.
  2. Click Edit Limits.
  3. Select the user's name or the Customer option in the dropdown.
  4. A table of the existing limits will display. The default limits for each product/payment combination type will appear in light gray. 
  5. Click into the limit field you wish to modify, then type in the new limit.
  6. Once you've completed your edits, click Save.

Types of limits that are editable

You may edit/update three types of payment limits per product/per payment type:

  1. Verify Limit - this limit is the highest dollar amount a user can create a payment for without requiring verification.
  2. Transaction Limit - this is the dollar limit the user can create a payment for.
  3. Daily Limit - this is the total daily dollar amount the user can create for all payments in one day.
